General Reflections - Part 1

Here are some general reflections based on scriptures and personal experience.
  1. God works in your life by opening and closing doors. He also tests you by giving you opportunities to close doors on your own. Your spiritual growth is reflected in your gratitude for all the doors that have been closed.
  2. Humiliation can sometimes be a precursor to humility and eventual exaltation. This is exemplified in the lives of many biblical figures, including Abraham, Joseph, Moses, David, Daniel, and above all, Jesus. If you seek humility, do not fear divinely-ordained humiliation; instead, embrace it with joy.
  3. Many of the men that God has used in powerful ways prayed for around three hours each day. If you are serious about being used by God, start by dedicating a tithe of your time to prayer.
  4. The greatest evidence of God's existence is transformation from someone who denies him to someone who desires him above all.
  5. When you become more like Christ, you give him great joy, as he sees in you the reward of his suffering.

Jakob Amman

Jakob Amman was a Swiss Anabaptist leader who is best known as the founder of the Amish religious movement in the late 17th century. He was born in Switzerland in 1644 and became a leader in the Anabaptist movement, which stressed the importance of adult baptism, non-violent resistance, and separation from the world. Amman's teachings and beliefs eventually led to the formation of the Amish community, which is known for its simple lifestyle, traditional values, and rejection of modern technology. John Amos Comenius

Jan Amos Komenský, also known as John Amos Comenius, was a Czech philosopher, educator, and writer who lived from 1592 to 1670. He is considered to be the father of modern education and one of the most important figures in the history of education. Comenius was born in Moravia, which was then part of the Habsburg Empire, and he became a bishop of the Unity of the Brethren, a Protestant denomination. He was forced to flee from his homeland due to religious persecution, and he lived in several countries throughout Europe, including Sweden, the Netherlands, and England. Throughout his life, Comenius was dedicated to reforming education and promoting universal education for all children, regardless of their social status or gender. He wrote numerous works on education, including "Orbis Sensualium Pictus" (The Visible World in Pictures), which was the first picture book for children and a precursor to modern textbooks. He also wrote "Didactica Magna" (The Great Didactic)
