George Frideric Handel
George Frideric Handel (1685-1759) was a German-born British composer and conductor of the Baroque era. He was born in Halle, Germany, and showed a prodigious talent for music from an early age. He studied music in Hamburg and Italy, where he developed a strong interest in opera. In 1710, he moved to London, where he established himself as a leading composer and conductor.
He wrote numerous operas, including "Rinaldo," "Julius Caesar," and "Ariodante," as well as oratorios, including the famous "Messiah." Handel was also a skilled organist and harpsichordist, and his works have had a profound influence on classical music and popular culture.
